Sophomores and juniors may prepare for the PSAT by attending the two-session prep class. In order to register, students must pick up a pink PSAT prep course form in the counseling center and have it turned in with a $30 payment before Sept. 19.
This course is designed to make sure that students will remember verbal and math concepts that will be on the test. Also, tips will be given on how to ease the stress by providing the basic format of the exam. It is important to do well on this test because it will be used by the National Merit and National Achievement Scholarship Programs.
“Even though this class is mainly designed for juniors, sophomores are welcome to take it,” counseling center secretary Patricia Barker said. “Juniors are more prepared for it than sophomores.”
Courses are available on Sept. 23 and 24, and they are also available Sept. 30 and Oct. 1.
