The varsity football team here looks to keep their undefeated season going Aug. 29 against Lebanon. The game is scheduled for 7 p.m. at home, and ticket prices are $5 or all sports passes are accepted. Last year the Greyhounds beat Lebanon in the regular season and are hoping to do so again this year.
Even though the Greyhounds just came off of a nationally televised win against Cathedral, head football coach Mo Moriarity reminds the team that they have to stay humble. “We have to make sure that we get back down to reality,” Moriarity said. “We were kind of on a high winning against Cathedral, but we have to get ready to play.”
“One strength we had against Cathedral was our overall team depth,” Moriarity said. “On Saturday kids started cramping up and we played some kids off the bench, but we played a lot of kids and we have a lot of kids that can play. Hopefully our depth can bring us another win on Friday.”
