The Carmel Band Boosters started a fundraiser campaign that ends Sept. 19 to benefit all of the bands this school. Band members will sell Yankee Candle products, ranging from $5.00 to $22.00 in price, with each family’s goal being to raise $120.00. The money raised will go towards hiring clinicians and helping to pay for the various expenses not covered by fees. All products purchased will be distributed before Thanksgiving.
When asked about the fundraiser, Kathy Bartel, Vice President of Ways and Means for Carmel Bands, said, “I think Yankee Candle has very good products, and are a well-known company in this area.”
Jessica Hoffa, marching band member and senior, said she thought it was “a good way to raise money.”
After this fundraiser ends, another opportunity to support the band comes in October with the candy sale. For more information about band fundraisers or just the bands in general, you can visit the Web site at www.carmelbands.org.
