A message from the editor-in-chief:

Hi everyone,

It’s Homecoming week, and HiLite is here to help you make the most of it. In this issue, you will find expanded coverage in Section D and a handy pocket guide to help you wade through the excitement and fun of Friday’s activities.

Our sports pages will also give you full coverage of Friday’s football match-up against the Warren Central Warriors. Look on the front page for a story about what those players feel when they step onto the field.

You’ll notice another special section, the Acumen, a pull-out issue that comes out every other issue. Under the leadership of editor Tian Yang, this supplement will investigate one topic in-depth. This issue focuses on our faculty staff members.

Looks to the right-hand side for our “Exclusively Online” features. This issue, get to know the National Merit Semifinalists in more terms than just in numbers.

Enjoy your Homecoming week, which in my opinion is the best week of school, and as always, thanks for reading the HiLite.

“I like the feeling in the middle of the game when I am just really focused on winning and just really getting in there and hitting people,” O’Banion said. “So, I guess I am more of an aggressive player.” Read more?
